It’s like they’re asking people not to move in here. Tried to call and was first very unresponsive. And when you finally get someone on the phone, you could clearly tell they don’t want to help you with their tone and discourages you from viewing the apartment or applying even after telling them that move in dates works perfectly.

Sean is amazing. He gave us our initial tour and was very thorough, we loved the place right away! Sean then helped us with the move in process and made everything so efficient and easy, one of the best leasing property employees we have ever worked with!

Compared to most property management I've worked with or visited, Avana San Jose has got to be one of the teams that I can't help but give 5 stars on. During my visit to the property, they were able to answer my questions to the best of their abilities regarding the amenities, available units, and things to be aware of. Kaitlin and Sean in particular get a shoutout for their knowledge of the housing voucher process, they are experienced with navigating Housing Authority's procedures for housing vouchers, especially those with HUDVASH or Section 8 if needed. The team even goes out of their way to advocate for potential tenants towards Housing Authority if a future tenant really feels that this community is a perfect fit for them. Once again, thanks again for all the help!

It's too loud; there are always parties near the pool with music that's excessively loud, like extremely loud. The noise protection is terrible. So, I'm listening to all these parties and this excessively loud music every single weekend between April and October. For example, it's now 10:00 pm and a party is still going on while I'm trying to sleep. After the party I'll be listening to drunk singers. The territory is very dirty; a lot of dog owners don't bother cleaning up after their dogs. The apartments are old. Also, These guys always give some warnings at the very last moment, e.g., 'Please remove your cars between 8 am - 5 pm because we're painting whatever, or they'll be towed away.' This raises a question: what if I'm out of town for a week and left my car there?

We gave in our apartment in great condition, and only lived their barely two years. However, the CLEAN carpets had to be replaced foe the next people moving in when we left. So, Avana Apartments charged us for it? Overall, wouldn't go back ever.

I'd say a 4.5 out of 5, we were glad to find a place that accepted animals. at the time we had issues moving, and we were out of options. Raul was amazing, set us up a nice deal to get in. our neighbors are quiet for the most part no issues. I've seen a couple of homeless, even one outside, but the homeless are everywhere in san jose, so to be expected, and dealt with as they come. The gates as in other mention is a little risky/safety issue with homeless or theives able to move in and out without ID's, they should probably have security more around those areas. which is why it's a 4.5. So far I've been hear a month and have really enjoyed the amenities, and management has only worked with me and my wife. Very nice people, I don't feel jipped at all. The people here are quiet and friendly, San jose is a rough place to live in my experience, and this has been a breath of fresh air. Thanks Raul, I hope you can get more sushi again lol
